Former member of Morcheeba, Skye Edwards played a vital role in the musical influence and identity of the band. With her smooth, sultry vocals and charismatic character, it was an obvious loss when the Godfrey brothers decided to let her go.
Now a solo artist, with her first album Mind How You Go (2006) under her belt, and collaborations with Nouvelle Vague, Skye is proof that quality never goes unrecognized.
I personally love her rendition of Feel Good Inc (Gorillaz).
Her voice, weaving in and out of the slow plucking of the bass made it seem like a different song altogether.
One with more soul and sensuality.
